The Lost Dutchman State Park Elvis chapel area is one of the best hidden gems in Arizona for photoshoots. With the dramatic backdrop of the Superstition Mountains behind the chapel, you get two iconic Arizona looks in one frame — the rustic chapel atmosphere and the massive desert mountain scenery.

When you park a classic car in front of the chapel doors or off to the side facing the mountains, the location creates a perfect layered background. It works especially well for wedding shoots, engagement sessions, graduations, family portraits, and vintage-style automotive photography.

Jenz Benz has photographed weddings, engagements, graduations, and all kinds of lifestyle sessions in this location, and it consistently delivers that classic Arizona desert feel people are looking for.

The entire Lost Dutchman area also offers excellent desert scenery before or after the main car shoot. Within just a few minutes you can capture cactus-lined roads, golden desert sunsets, rugged mountain terrain, and open desert landscapes that look incredible with classic cars.

One warning though — watch out for the infamous jumping cholla cactus. Those things are everywhere out there, and they are brutal if you brush against one. They can turn a smooth photoshoot into a painful experience fast, so keep an eye on where everyone is walking, especially kids and models in dress shoes or sandals.
